My work experience at a global hedge fund, has completely shifted my vision
on finance and banking, allowing me to experience in depth what are the
fundamentals of our current economic system. I had the chance to work on risk
analysis, learning about financial instruments and operations in a plethora of
different markets.

What I have noticed, is that although potential for innovation is extremely
high, there are underlying compliance and competitions issues to be faced
everyday. Current players are not potential candidates to make this change
happen.

Even though I am not actively looking for career change, your business model and
mission immediately caught my attention and left wondering for almost a month if
I should be applying to work with you. What Column offers summarizes a solution
to many problems happening at the moment that I have experienced directly and
indirectly in this sector.

What I am proud of, with regards to my current occupation, is that I was able to
identify issues no one dared to tackle, and proactively built solutions that
were then appreciated and widely used on the trading floor. In the past
three years, what I lacked in experience and domain expertise, I made it up with
strategy and determination, to the point that I was able to lead a team in my
second year of employment. I am well aware that I don't fit all the requirements
for this role, but I hope my words will get to you, giving me the possibility to
demonstrate to you that I can be a valuable addition to your team.
